What bulk t-shirt sizes should you order?

The general guide for ordering shirts in large quantities is:

S – M – L – XL – 2XL = 1 – 2 – 3 – 3 – 1

So, for a 1,000-shirt order, that would break down to: 100 Small, 200 Medium, 300 Large, 300 Extra-Large and 100 Extra-Extra Large.

However, keep your audience in mind. When ordering personalized shirts for youth, runners, or college students you may need more medium and small sizes.

Because unisex sizes in promotional attire generally follow men's garment sizes, you may need to go down a size if ordering for more women. A size Small unisex shirt is closer to a Women's Medium, for example.
